Senior Product Designer – eCommerce / Gifting – Up to £75,000

About the role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for leading the Product Design practice, mentoring, and guiding existing team members. We are looking for an experienced Product Designer that has strong experience across user experience, research and design.

You will have experience in different industries, and be able to demonstrate when you have used design thinking principles. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with the Product team on future ideas and concepts from ideation to live. This role will be key in driving the introduction of new user research techniques to ensure Product teams build desirable and usable solutions for our customers.

• Mentor junior members of the Product Design team.
• Be an advocate for the product design practices, and voice our users’ needs to help build a better product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to drive the design process from ideation to product delivery and launch.
• Head user and product research, lead ideation processes, detail end-toend mockup solutions/prototypes, and drive user testing sessions in iteration for proven desirable and usable solutions.
• Closely collaborate with the Product Managers to foster the role of experience on the process of continuous product improvement.
• Work closely with Engineers to ensure solutions are feasible and meet the expected design standards.
• Be driven, flexible and enthusiastic, bringing new inspiring ideas to the teams. And now a bit about you
• Experienced with agile and design methodologies in an eCommerce environment
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Product Designer or similar
• Experience of coaching or mentoring other designers
• Able to demonstrate different user research techniques
• Able to interpret customer data into design ideas
• Technical competence to be able to build prototypes / discuss solutions with Product and Engineering
• Experience using design software such as Sketch, InVision or similar
• Be driven, flexible and enthusiastic, bringing new inspiring ideas to the teams.
