Senior Product Designer – UX / UI – Up to £75,000

My client innovate and evolve across all of their current product offerings: from global money transfers to plastic and virtual cards and multi-currency accounts. While their customers use and love the products, they have an ambitious vision for further expanding the offerings and exciting challenges to solve.

They are currently looking for a talented Senior Product Designer who shares their passion for innovation, buys into the company ethos, and adds value to the team. They view the design system as a crucial component for enabling the product teams to expand further the offerings in a way that complements the cohesive overall experience. That’s when you come into play – you’ll join the Product Design team to work on the design system, helping us refine its current state and drive the future vision. What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be facilitating and evolving the design system to support the companies ability to scale rapidly and build a consistent, high-quality user experience and interface across products and platforms:

  • You’ll be seeking out design system best practices, design patterns across multiple industries and products to help evolve the products and design language;
  • You’ll be working with other designers to improve and contribute to the evolving design system of components, styles, and interactions;
  • You’ll be managing changes and synthesising feedback and input from the different teams;
  • You’ll be documenting design guidelines and actively sharing knowledge on how to utilise the design system;
  • You’ll be supporting the implementation of the design system by collaborating closely with engineers to ensure a high level of quality delivery across all platforms;
  • You’ll also be helping to raise the bar for design, from participating in design critiques to driving new design initiatives.

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of experience in designing and maintaining cross-platform design systems;
  • An impressive portfolio demonstrating the work;
  • Strong systems thinking mindset;
  • Solid design skills across iOS, Android, and Web platforms;
  • Experience with and deep knowledge of best practices with Figma;
  • Good understanding of front-end development parameters;
  • The ability to clearly articulate and explain the ideas to other designers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders;
  • Experience in writing simple and clear design documentation for multiple audiences;
  • The ability to take ownership of the design process and work as a self-directed member of the team to meet deadlines;
  • Love to solve problems and be challenged;
  • Commitment to self-improvement, be ready to grow personally and with the team
