Senior UI Designer || West London || Up to £58k

This is an opportunity: to join one of Britain’s most revered retail and ecommerce brands. They are investing massively into their digital products and services that receive millions of hits each week.

This role involves: delivering outstanding and innovative UI solutions as part of an efficient and multi-disciplined delivery team. You will be a UI design expert and brand guardian, actively driving consistency and accessibility standards across all digital touch points.

We are looking for: a passionate and creative UI Designer with solid experience of designing for responsive digital products. A proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills will help to add value to a diverse and high performing team.

About the role:

  • Working Agile as part of an efficient and multi-disciplined delivery team
  • Collaborating with UX colleagues, you will be brainstorming concepts, freehand sketching, low-fi and high-fi prototyping to shape user-centred design solutions
  • Within your delivery team, you will proactively use qualitative and quantitative test and learn approaches, including user testing, A/B testing and data
  • Being a UI component expert, you will be collaborating with other designers to create accurate responsive template mockups and working with the development team to realise designs including interactive states and motion/ animation
  • When required, you will create new UI components within the design system, working with design peers to propose, review and implement these, ensuring robust application and usage
  • As part of the quality assurance process, you will be responsible for reviewing the UI once in the development phase and diligently conducting cross-browser and device testing

About You:

  • Design-related degree or equivalent in practical experience
  • Solid experience of designing for responsive digital products
  • Strong understanding of UI style guides, design components and UI kits
  • Experience of collaborating closely with UX experts throughout the entire product cycle, to create user-centred design solutions
  • Fluency in industry software, including Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, prototyping and workflow tools
  • Working knowledge of W3C Accessibility standards
  • Understanding of front-end web technologies: (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax)
  • Excellent communication, organisational and team collaboration skills
