Senior UI Designer – Up to £70,000

Due to further expansion, my client are seeking a Senior UI Designer to help continue to dominate one of the most buoyant, fastest-growing industries, that is changing the world and the speed at which we receive items!

The Company:

My client are on a mission to crack the code on urban delivery. By leading with their values and putting carrier partners first, they are paving the way for better delivery experiences. My client’s has a new approach to delivery with a free carrier API and an operations management platform for shippers. They’re building the first global data-driven last-mile network that has the potential to solve industry-wide problems.

Currently they are all working remotely and going forward will operate a home first policy. They would ask employees to travel to the office 1 or 2 times a month, for collaborative meetings.

The position of Senior UI Designer

You will be someone who loves to work on challenging design problems and collaborate with product teams to ensure our customers have delightful experiences and visuals across all our products.

You will be responsible owning the comprehensive UI Designs with respect to one of our products. You’ll be comfortable mentoring other members of the team around UI/Visual and some UX/Product design work. You will also be comfortable being involved in user and business research activities to understand requirements, and you’ll document user behaviour for optimal UI/UX design.

In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems – typically by asking “5 whys”. A strong portfolio of successful product/UI design and other technical projects is essential.

Ultimately, you will make our products serve the needs of our customers better, through user-friendly and intuitive software that attracts and retains them.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define the visual designs for new and existing products and features.
  • Using customer-centric, data-informed design methodologies.
  • Quickly and thoughtfully incorporate team feedback into designs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure we deliver results, and be able to demonstrate the impact our changes have on our business.
  • Our process is pretty fluid: you’ll develop prototypes, screenshots, wireframes – whatever gets the job done.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience in a UI/Product design setting. Iterative environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related design or behavioural science discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates experience designing usable interfaces and interactions
  • You are a skilled interaction and visual designer.
  • Able to autonomously and continually improve the quality of our products.
  • Experience with consumer web-based products a plus.
  • Responsive, adaptive, email, and mobile a plus.
