Senior UX Designer – Up to £80,000

In this role, you will be joining the Design team at an internationally respected organization going through an exciting digital transformation! – You will be able to use your passion for user experience design to inform the evolution of cutting edge talent assessment and analytic products, which help global companies, attract, recruit, develop, and retain world-class talent.

You will work with a global distributed team of design strategists and designers as well as product managers, scientists, and engineers. Your role will be to identify possible solutions to common as well as unique – and complex – design challenges. You will create sketches, flows and/or storyboards to visualise UX solutions, execute detailed wireframes and prototypes, and validate ideas and designs through user testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead user research and/or business stakeholder workshops to support requirements gathering
  • Own the completion of research prep, execution, and synthesis/analysis.
  • Create flows, storyboards and/or wireframes to communicate concepts and ideas effectively (including interactions and design concepts)
  • Effectively convey approach and thinking to design strategists and internal stakeholders like Product Managers, Science/R&D, Technology, and Product Marketing
  • Rapidly iterate design ideas/sketches/wireframes based on input from colleagues and stakeholders (and demonstrably faster at iterating designs compared to more junior/less experienced designers)
  • Set a positive example for more junior/less experienced designers by embracing and welcoming design critique, independently able to sift out the most valuable inputs from “noise”
  • Successfully project manage your own work queue, balancing multiple projects and deadlines and always keeping stakeholders informed while also keeping an eye on the contributions of more junior designers involved in projects
  • Demonstrate curiosity – about the customers, our evolving business, and key design and technology trends
  • Proactively share design experience and expertise with other designers and, when appropriate, other stakeholders

Experience and Skills:

  • Significant experience as a UX Designer (7-10 years in a designer or similar role)
  • Experience creating, leading and, delivering user experience projects
  • Experience contributing to proposals in ideation and concept design
  • An enthusiastic and demonstrable understanding of the science of User Experience and User Centred Design
  • Well versed in user experience methodologies and their applications
  • A creative thinker with excellent (written and oral) communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • A good working knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools such as Axure or Figma
  • Experience working on projects with other designers (with varying levels of prior experience)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • Examples of work, including beginning and ending interactions (micro interactions) as mobile/responsive design considerations
