UX Designer

****UX DESIGNER | MANCHESTER | UP TO £35,000 DOE | ASAP START****
MANCHESTER, UK. My client is one of the most established holiday operators with over 80 years experience providing end to end packaged holidays for it’s mainly British customers. They are looking for a user experience designer who can carry out user research, interaction design and prototyping activities for digital design projects. User research will include usability testing, qualitative research, and use of a range of other methods and approaches as required by the project. The successful candidate will also work as part of a larger team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to develop the best solutions to given design challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop design deliverables including sketches, wireframes and prototypes.
• Plan and conduct face-to-face and remote usability testing.
• Plan and conduct qualitative research to support strategic and tactical projects.
• Work with IT and other stakeholders to evaluate business and technical problems, and develop design solutions.
• Apply UCD and related methodologies to business problems.
• Manage own workloads and projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ experience in user experience design for web and mobile apps.
• An understanding of usability, interaction design and research theories and principles.
• Experience of developing sketches, wireframes and other design artefacts for digital design projects.
• Demonstrable experience of working in an ecommerce role.
• Experience of leading UX projects in a commercial environment.
• Practical experience of working in an agile environment.
