Job Description

The role is being extended to a mid to senior UX designer. The product team are design-led and armed with the purpose of delivering the best user centred solutions and optimal user experience to it’s customer base. You will be working tirelessly to making sure this standard stays optimal by improving customer journeys to meet the business goal of user acquisition and retention.

Primary Objectives

within a cross functional team of 9 at present, and still growing, you will be responsible for all UX. The role requires you to deliver experiences users will enjoy, can easily use, and will find both memorable and pleasurable to do so. You’ll collaborate with the UI designer to work through the product roadmap of new features to be released. You will also be adept at spotting areas for improvement from detailed analytics and insight gained from user testing and extensive digital marketing efforts. It will be important to speak up for a user centered approach to everything they do across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced UX designer who is keen to make their next move. The position offers the possibility for quick progression towards building and leading a UX team as the business rapidly scales. Working closely with the UI designer and the co-founding team, you will be tasked with building, implementing and managing a system – to ensure great UX – that will be used across the business.

This happens at every step of a new release so, not only will you be informed by the results of the wireframes, journeys and prototypes, but you will also have the opportunity to test your UX designs to help validate your decisions even further.

Responsibilities

● Taking ownership of key challenges, understanding what users need, and developing and improving features and processes to improve the customer experience

● Strong focus on the create usertype – working hard to rapidly develop and iterate on an approach

● Building strong and aligned relationships with founders, dev team, marketing and design colleagues

● Championing UX best practices throughout the business

● Demonstrating up-to-date expertise in user experience design; applying this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

Skills / Experience / Qualifications

● Relevant degree or equivalent

● Solid understanding of the core UX principles.

● Proactive in your approach to continually develop your own UX skills

● Comfortable within a fast paced and truly agile start-up environment, supported by our highly skilled and experienced dev team.

● Love insights, data and research.

● Be enthusiastic to be part of a wide range of projects across the progressive web app

● Preparing for and supporting the launch of the IOS app in October.

● Experience with collaborative design packages, eg. Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator.

● Strong experience in designing both for mobile and desktop, responsive web, and email

● Experience of designing high-performing products

● Experience with observing and analysing customer behaviour – both qualitatively and quantitatively – and usability testing. Experience with, or interest in, AB / MV testing

● Ability to create high and low fidelity prototypes or wireframes for immediate consumption by engineering
