WordPress Designer / Developer – Blackpool – Up to £30,000

My client are a leading UK manufacturer of home interior products; specialising in hand-embellished framed artwork. Established in 2012 and operating from its headquarters in Blackpool, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time creative wordpress designer/web developer to join the company’s in-house marketing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic creative to develop and shape their career in a friendly working environment. The successful applicant will work on multiple projects including, but not limited to, the company’s three B2C websites and B2B website. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the internal marketing department and external digital marketing agency to increase brand awareness, drive new sales and maintain the company’s position as an industry leader.

The perfect creative designer/web developer will have:

• Applied digital design experience (either in a workplace or through a recent college/university course – ideally to degree level)
• A creative mind with the aim to push the boundaries of design
• Fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Suite applications
• Knowledge of web hosting processes
• Working knowledge and experience using CMS based web packages such as WordPress
• An excellent understanding of colour, layout and typography with a keen eye for detail
• Confidence working across digital and print
• A versatile and enthusiastic approach to work and deadlines (this is a fast-paced role often with lots of projects on the go at any one time)

Your primary duties will include:

• Working alongside the marketing team and digital agency to produce and deliver a wide range of digital briefs for multichannel marketing and new product launches
• Assisting with the design, programming and maintenance of the company’s websites
• New product uploads
• UX improvements to existing product listings and site areas to enhance the customer journey
• Development of all design aspects of the company’s e-marketing, websites, social media etc.
