Product Manager

Product Manager- Contract- London

Our client is a B2B software company providing a wide range of technology solutions within logistics industry, they are looking to build a number of new products and services to the market to expand their product portfolio. They want to deliver a number of new exciting applications that will integrate with their existing platform.

As a product manager you will be responsible for the integration of accounting APIs (Quickbooks, Xero, Sage) with their platform, then build out functionality to integrate with factoring and credit facility providers.

You work with the UX/UI designers to deliver the front end application, to provide a seamless experience for their customer between the integration(s) and their platform, as well as manage the delivery with a 3rd Party development team based in Europe.

Due to this the core skills they need is API development, UX, and project management experience. Also Jira (must) and confluence experience is beneficial.

The role:

Strategy and vision

  • Bring together business strategy, customer research and behavioural data to create a product vision, and identify opportunities for future developments within your product line
  • Build business cases for new ideas and future development opportunities
  • Take overall responsibility of bringing new products to market, and creating a success of them
  • Create timelines and roadmaps for developing your product line

Stakeholder and Customer needs

  • Work closely with customers to increase engagement with your product line
  • Gather requirements and define your product roadmap with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as customers, leaving nothing to interpretation.
  • Meet regularly with all stakeholders, including development team, sales, marketing, customer service, and matrix manage deliveries as required.

Product Development & Marketing

  • Prioritise and maximise business value from product developments by focussing on return on investment
  • Develop new and enhance existing products through the delivery of new features
  • Take a user-centric approach to product development to deliver best-in-class UX.
  • Work with business analysts and design teams to break down complex requirements into achievable product deliverables
  • Oversee agile development and project management processes
  • Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data, anticipating sales volume, and aligning with the wider portfolio.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for your product line
  • Take joint responsibility with the wider product team for product release activities such as user guides, internal training and communication.

Product Analysis

  • Define KPIs and track your product line to define success and look for improvements.
  • Continually test ideas and improvements with customers to enable prioritisation of future development using both quantitative and qualitative techniques
  • Assess market competition by comparing competitors’ products to your own.

Budget

  • P&L responsibility for your product line.
