Product Owner

My client are one of the UK’s largest provider of fee free mortgages, and have recently gone through a significant period of growth and investment. Off the back of this they are in the midst of a large digital transformation and are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join them, work with the Head of Infrastructure and provide vision and direction for a number of newly formed internal backlogs as well as manage a small team of Business Analysts.

Product Owner – Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritise product feature backlog and development for the product/s
  • Work with your team to define the product vision and road map as well as any future growth opportunities
  • Working in an Agile way make sure to add value, vision and direction to your stakeholders
  • Work with and manage the team of Business Analysts to prioritise stories and develop cases to ensure all tasks are in line with business and product strategy.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning ad elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closed with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI

Product Owner – Requirements

  • 4+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager
  • Demonstrable Agile experience (Agile qualifications ideal but not essential)
  • Comfortable working with IT and technology teams and the business alike
  • Experience managing internal company backlogs
  • Financial Services experience is ideal but not essential
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
