My client are one of the UK’s largest provider of fee free mortgages, and have recently gone through a significant period of growth. Off the back of this they are in the midst of a large digital transformation, and are looking for successful Senior IT Project Managers to to design, develop and maintain technology solutions to enable the digital transformation.
Senior IT Project Manager – Responsibilities
- Design authority for technology solutions
- Have line management responsibilities over the technology team
- Manage the pipeline of projects and delivery road maps necessary to support the programme and wider business change to time, cost and quality
- Co-ordinate technology delivery in conjunction with the solution provider
- Ensure there is a sufficiently skilled and sized workforce to meet the demands of the programme
- Ensure that any decisions made are in full knowledge of the impact and risks as well as ensuring that initial and on-going costs are understood.
- Implement agile best practice in development, from developing business requirements across the whole of the software delivery lifecycle through to implementation, monitoring and support
- Manage the pipeline of projects for the business to successful delivery, to time, cost and quality with an ethic of continuous improvements, working closely with all key relationships
Senior IT Project Manager – Responsibilities
- Degree/Masters in either business and/ or IT or equivalent
- Project Management qualification preferable
- Mortgages/ Insurance background highly preferred
Have leadership experience in a context with diverse and matrixed stakeholders - Broad experience in a Technology Product Development and Delivery environment (and/ or applications development)
- Experience of leading a team of developers including outsourced resource with IT disciplines.
- Extensive business knowledge in the financial services industry.
- Experience of responsibility of holding a budget
- Wide variety of experience across the product development life-cycle
- Experience of working with internal complex systems and operational management roles
- Experience of delivering technology solutions within a regulated financial services businesses
