An opportunity has become available for a Contract Tech Deployment Technician to join a major clientside brand starting remotely but eventually working on-site in Shepperton, Surrey..

About the role:

The Tech Deployment Technician is responsible for operating the service in the UK, covering all aspects of the service lifecycle through procurement, stock in-take, asset management, device configuration, request processing, deployment & logistics, remote installation & hardware support and equipment returns.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordination of in-flight hardware orders with suppliers, ensuring items are delivered on time and in full Asset tagging of equipment by generating, printing and affixing labels to devices Imaging and configuration of computers and tablets following step-by-step instructions
  • Processing hardware requests via Zendesk ticket system, selecting appropriate hardware and peripherals, checking-out via an asset management system and organising the logistics (packaging items if required)
  • Quality checking returned equipment to ascertain whether it’s reusable (TVs, monitors, laptops, tablets, etc.)
  • Providing remote installation and support to external partners
  • Ensuring that stock levels are maintained and asset management records are up to date
  • Note: – Location of this role will be Shepperton (Surrey). Availability to work from the offices is a requirement.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of computer systems to be able to operate the asset management system, quality check devices and configure systems
  • Demonstrates knowledge of audio visual equipment and related peripherals (TVs, basic Video Conferencing units)
  • Ability to work well on their own with minimal direct management
  • Strong organisational abilities, must be capable of managing time effectively Ability to work under pressure in a customer facing capacity
  • Technology related education Experience working in a technical support, IT customer service or similar role
  • Experience working in a Film & TV Production environment in a technical capacity is highly preferred
  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic procurement and related finance concepts (Purchase Orders, bidding, lead times)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic corporate logistics fundamentals
