Senior UX Designer – Fashion / eCommerce – Up to £70k!

Greater London Permanent £50000 - £70000 per annum

My client are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior UX Designer to join their rapidly growing in-house Technology Team; a talented group of Designers and Developers working hard to create best-in-class digital experiences for customers across the globe.

After opening its doors in 2005, my client quickly established itself as a leader in luxury and contemporary menswear. Now with over 95% of their interactions taking place through digital channels, technology is at the forefront of everything they do!

Their Digital Design Team is core to this and is responsible for creating the simple-yet-beautiful interfaces synonymous with the brand. Their focus is on producing clean, user-centred designs that celebrate our extensive catalogue of high-end fashion while offering the best possible consumer experience.

With four digital products out in the wild and an ever-growing customer base the time has come to add a UX specialist to this team. As our Senior UX you’ll be working with the Lead Digital Designer and Head of Product to spearhead the constant improvement of all digital offerings across web, Android and iOS.

For this role, you’ll need an up-to-date knowledge of UX best practices, as well as a good grasp of new technology and its application in the retail space. You’ll be comfortable analysing data in conjunction with research and testing methodologies to draw insightful conclusions about our users. Most importantly, you must then be confident translating your findings into effective designs with a measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use data and research to identify problems/opportunities across our digital products
  • Use Invision and Sketch to wireframe and prototype solutions to problems
  • Design logical end-to-end user journeys with our users at heart
  • Work with the Product team to scope new features
  • Be an advocate for the customer within our Product teams
  • Report back on the success/failure of UX improvements
  • Champion UX best practices across a global market

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a UX designer
  • Solid grasp of eCommerce journeys
  • Experience designing for web and native apps
  • An understanding of A/B and multivariate testing
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the confidence to articulate your ideas
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to structure a compelling business case and weigh up customer needs vs. business requirements.
  • Able to come up with simple solutions to complex problems
  • Experience working in an agile multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with web analytics (we use Exponea, but experience with Google Analytics or similar is fine)
  • An interest in fashion and the brands we sell
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and developments

What My Client offers:

  • Relaxed open plan office in Central London
  • Flexible working hours and 2 days a month to work from home -they understand the need for a healthy work/life balance and aim to be as flexible as possible. As long as the work is getting done, that’s what matters.
  • R&D opportunities and twice yearly Hackathons – it’s important to us that everyone in our team is immersed in Tech and has time to play and innovate.
  • Training and development budget – if there’s something you want to learn, we’re here to support you.
  • Unlimited pats with office dogs – we have three good boys who sometimes share our office, including Insta-famous @iamfrankiethepomsky.
  • Regular team outings & Friday drinks

Company Benefits

  • Generous staff discount
  • High spec hardware (Macbook Pro and high-resolution monitor)
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Company pension scheme
  • Free eye tests
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Childcare vouchers
