Senior UX/UI Designer – eCommerce / Retail – Up to £65k + Bonus

Greater London Permanent £45000 - £65000 per annum + bonus

My client is a leading retail/ecommerce firm and a respected household name. They are currently looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join their digital product team and help in their mission to provide a world-class service whilst driving value for its customers.

As a UX/UI designer reporting to the Lead Designer, your job will be to maintain consistency throughout all channels within the bands ecosystem. You will lead the creation of key design concepts throughout the company, ensuring a high-quality aesthetic in keeping with the companies well established guidelines. You will work alongside UX Designers, Researchers and Developers in an agile environment, playing a key role in the shaping of the companies digital identity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside UX Designers, Researchers and Developers in a cross-functional agile team on websites, apps and in-store digital displays and GUI’s
  • Lead the creation of designs from conception to delivery
  • Influencing Stakeholders
  • Educate and mentor members of the wider business on the brands design principals and guidelines
  • Support members across the business with their design needs as the brand guardian
  • Work with UX Designers and Researchers to successfully analyse customer feedback, turning it into measurable actions for the design team.
  • Manage the creative design process in the companies in-house development environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • You’ll be a quick starter with the ability to hit the ground running both independently and as part of a bigger team
  • You’ll be fluent in Adobe CC and Sketch with 5+ years experience as a full-time designer
  • You’ll have experience working in a cross-functional team with product owners, UX designers and engineers
  • Significant experience working within a retail or eCommerce environment
  • Interaction Design & Conceptualising skills
  • Previous management skills are advantageous as you will be required to self-manage your schedules
  • Previous experience in presenting design rationales is also essential
