Service Design Director

Raising the stakes high! A brilliant client I am working with, a top digital and transformation agency is looking for a Freelance Service Design Director.

Someone who understands everything from research, design-out sketches, service design tool-set, tech, capability lead, value of the market and someone who can carry and execute the research. Their client is building a city from scratch, so they are looking for someone ideally who has worked in start-ups who can do everything on their own. So, an exciting project with lots of autonomy! A real challenge and definitely one to have on your CV.

Title: Partner Service Design Director

Contract Duration: ASAP for 3 months

Level: Director

Role:

• The Partner Service Design Director will define and deliver internal and external services and communicate those services into a partnership delivery model
• Internal services = CX, CFO, and Legal
• External = Functions and relationships such as sales partners, systems integrators, and 3rd party manufacturers
• You will need to develop systems, patterns, and methods to integrate with these serves and external partners. Using a collaboration model based on cross-functional teams, identification and engagement of stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Design an operating model for how shared internal services will interact with studio projects, how the studio will identify and manage relationships with external stakeholders and partners, and ensure the integration of those stakeholders with the studio’s projects
• Identify alliances with 3rd party providers and manufacturers and design an operating model for identifying, appraising / assessing, and maintaining relationships with 3rd party providers
• Develop practices for vendor assessments
• Create CRM system to manage relationships

About you:

• Entrepreneurial
• Experience in building or leading a business development, sales or customer service at a start-up
• Project or program management experience a plus
• Business mindset and understanding of business models and business delivery
• Experience delivering digitally-enabled solutions within non-digital industries, e.g. education, health-care, construction, energy services, sports, etc
