Senior Digital Designer (contract)

~ Outside IR35

~ Starting in the next few days – 2 weeks initially but realistically a 4-month role

~ 99% remote, 1 or 2 days a month in their Soho studio, so needs to be UK based : )

I am working with a brilliant client who believes in the ability to use digital to reshape the world for good, and they support their staff in their pursuit of that goal as they create innovative solutions that their clients love. They apply their understanding of human behaviour to developing innovative, creative digital solutions that will reshape the digital world.

They are currently looking for a freelance Senior Digital Designer to join their team on a contract basis. Working under the supervision of the Experience Lead, you’ll be part of an enthusiastic team who are not afraid to push boundaries.

You will have a portfolio of proven experience across a range of sectors, can demonstrate modern design best practices and an obvious passion for designing beautiful digital experiences.

What you will be doing:

• ● Conceiving and designing high quality designs for pitches
• ● Getting involved in various design tasks across the business
• ● Working in Figma
• ● Creating design systems within Figma
• ● Working collaboratively as part of a team as well as taking ownership of tasks
• ● Working in a fast paced and fun environment

What they would like you to be:

• ● Knowledgeable of atomic design principles and design best practices
• ● Empathetic and understanding of end users
• ● Have good understanding of UX design patterns
• ● Self-starting and proactive
• ● Confident to make good design decisions and to present solutions to other members of the team and stakeholders.
• ● Detailed mindset with desire for pixel perfection
• ● Able to create simple prototypes and show interaction design

Extra nice to haves

• ● Experience working with Lean UX using iterative test and learn cycles
• ● Experience working with new tech such as AR / 3D
• ● Ability to sketch and / or illustrate to a high standard
• ● Experienced using tools such as Storybook and working with UI developers
