UX Designer / Strategist – Up to £75,000

To accelerate its digital transformation, my client are looking for a UX Designer / Strategistto help unlock the value in the vast amounts of data they have across the business. – As an UX Fellow you will be a creative problem-solver through UX creation and UI design delivery across initiatives in our digital products portfolio, including but not limited to:

• Web/Mobile
• Campaign delivery & automation
• Virtual meetings (Webinar & Webcast)
• CRM
• Tablet detailing
• Analytics and Big Data

My client looks for people who are open to new ideas and to challenge conventional paradigms. The UX Fellow will be part of fast-moving team who are defining an entirely new digital operating model in what feels like a start-up, therefore they must be outgoing and enthusiastic about new technologies and what they may bring.

There won’t be a part of my clients digital world that they won’t influence therefore they must be an excellent verbal and visual communicator with the flexibility and patience to try new things.

Key Responsibilities

• Support to steer the iteration and design of the user-facing systems and tool (both internal and external)
• Understand our customers, their journeys and optimize their experience to deliver best-in-class outcomes for the end-user and business
• Support the validation hypothesis for new feature release, review current design asset, and create better UX design, and language, including design patterns, and design systems leading to a digital pattern library/knowledge hub for wider use
• Help to deliver best practice through means of testing, analysis, prototype and design

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design teams working on digital experiences, design for mobile and web experiences
• A strong communicator and good listener, able to present ideas coherently and successfully with different stakeholders and across different business areas
• Able to work with different teams to understand business, encouraging discovery (research), to design processes and to test the best possible solutions
• Proficiency in Adobe, Powerpoint Sketch, InVision, Axure RP or other design & wireframing tools. Must also demonstrate proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS etc.
• Experience in testing and analysis tools, usertesting.com. Hotjar, Qualtrics
• Experience of creating design systems, design patterns and ability to steer and distribute design language to wider teams
• Experience working with Product Management to prototype ideas, test quickly and cheaply and release regularly
• Skills in design tools for mobile/desktop to create better design delivery and help set up that process
• Know what good looks like when it comes to design delivery, but always looking to improve
• Experience in working closely with delivery teams and helping initially build a cross-functional team
• Fluency (native or equivalent) in English
• Willing and able to travel frequently
