Visual/UI designer

My client are Tech Start-up looking for a Visual/UI Designer, this is an exciting opportunity to join a brand who build out new products for Healthcare companies across the world.

You will be responsible for designing the visual layouts from concept to final product, this will be across mobile platforms. You will alongside developers to build online apps, implementing UI and UX practices to build wire frames and prototypes as well as planning the user journey. You will also be responsible for leading the project, working alongside researchers to strategize and create the user interface.

To be considered for this role you with have experience working on the front end of products for web and mobile. You also will have experience with UX/UI design specifically creating new products from initial concepts.

Key Accountabilities:

• You’ll be the champion for the Doctorlink Design System; skillfully and sympathetically continue to develop the design system as it evolves, represent the Design System and its integrity within the Product Team and to stakeholders, and ensure that all our product designs and user experiences are defined and enhanced by its principles.
• You’ll do both hands-on design work and provide creative direction for our product’s visual design.
• You will own and drive the effort to up-level visual design quality in our web and mobile apps, and offer visual guidance for external support teams.
• You’ll bring our brand design into our product in a way that is thoughtful, intentional and systematic; establish a direction which balances the personal tone of our brand with the utility of our product, and form strong relationships with other business areas.
• You’ll produce future vision proposals with mockups and other explorations that push the aesthetic of our product to be more accessible and inclusive, more coherent, and more beautiful.
• You’ll give thoughtful and actionable visual design feedback to our UX and Product Designers.
• You’ll work closely with Engineers to implement your designs to a high degree of quality.

• Your skills and experience:
• You are an expert in Design Systems (creating and working with) and understand the processes and principles that define them successfully
• You have gained experience as a senior or mid-level UI or visual designer in your previous role(s), and are ready to take on more responsibilities within a smart, supportive and growing Design and UX team.
• You have highly refined visual design skills and the ability to communicate the rationale and intent behind decisions.
• You have an incredible eye for detail, and value quality in the work that the team produce.
• You have a strong understanding of classic graphic design principles and how to apply them.
• You have experience of managing and maintaining a design system and being its guardian across the team and wider company.
• You have experience designing digital products that users can access on any device, ideally in both a B2C and B2B context.
• You understand the importance of data and regular testing and use these to guide and support your design decisions.
• You have experience working within agile digital teams and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
