WEB DESIGN MANAGER

LONDON – Hybrid

We are partnered with a global leader in knowledge on-demand. Our client connects investment and business leaders with a dynamic network of industry professionals.

As the Website Design Manager you will be joining their small and close-knit in-house design & digital team and take on sole accountability for all things related to their website.

You’ll need to be very experienced in project management and have a desire to manage internal stakeholders and vendors. You must also be comfortable working independently, excited to solve tactical issues and driving strategic thinking (e.g. advising on best practices and tech stack requirements). If you have impeccable attention to detail and great design thinking, this will be the role for you.

Technology stack needed:

  • WordPress CMS
  • Divi Visual Page Builder
  • Key Plugins: Yoast SEO, WPML, Gravity Forms, WP Rocket
  • WPEngine (Hosting)
  • Greenhouse API integration
  • Figma / Sketch
  • Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Analytics & Hotjar integration
  • Adobe CS
  • Trello

Responsibilities:

  • UX/UI improvements to the site
  • Creative & strategic direction
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Skills Needed:

  • 5+ years Web Design experience
  • A stunning portfolio that shows a range of websites and other relevant digital assets you were directly responsible for designing, project managed, or both
  • Love tackling ambiguous design problems, combining both intuitive and analytical thinking, and have the grit to get to a desirable and viable solution
  • A deep appreciation of good design and UI/UX principles. Someone who cares deeply about the end product
  • Proactively seeks ways to optimise the design and development process
  • A structured thinker and persuasive communicator with an ability to engage with stakeholders across the company to gather feedback
  • Impeccable attention to detail, organisation and project management skills
  • Enjoy collaborating with external vendors & freelance developers
  • Ability and experience to work and manage projects independently, from end-to-end
  • A proactive, ambitious, quick learner with a can-do-attitude, who loves to learn new things and improve themselves

Technical skills:

  • Extensive UX/UI design experience
  • Excel using the tools of the trade (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Photoshop), particularly rapid-prototyping technology.
  • Experience of using WordPress with Divi and/or Elementor
  • Experience with WPML or other website translation tools
  • Understanding of Mobile First Responsive design concepts
  • Experience in leveraging insights from Google Analytics and Hotjar or similar
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript beneficial
  • Some understanding of page speed optimisation best practices
  • Some experience of testing methodologies to validate solutions such as CI/CD
