My client is a well-known retail and commercial bank that’s been around for over 50 years. They have a new position within a fairly new established team that sits within the communications function. This is an interesting and unique position as a Data & Insights Manager helping build, shape, and implement analytical products & solutions based on communications.
The Team:
A new role in a fairly new team with around 2.5 years behind. This is a full data & insight team that includes product owners who work with business stakeholders that build requirements for data tools and data products to help the business understand what data can tell the business. There are other specialists you would work amongst and collaborate with such as front-end developers, website designers, data scientists, and analysts.
Role overview:
This role is for a skilled data professional with a good understanding of communications to deliver regular data and analysis on internal & external communications. What they are trying to do is usually done with a communications agency or in this case a specialised individual so a very interesting, unique, and crucial role as they incorporate this function within the business. Everything is sort of at the surface level but the overall idea is to help build out a suite of products that can be used by the Chief Communications officer to see clearly and concisely the communications, impact, and outcomes ultimately finding solutions for improvement in communications.
You would primarily be working on communications analytics within the insights team focusing on building out the insights capabilities with the relevant tools they need to track the data by also assisting in building out the tools with data engineers. Dashboarding for internal communications will need to be developed to understand and get an overall picture of what needs to be done to improve the product. Finally defining and running the measurement framework for communications. How to consistently and meaningfully measure communications understanding the outcomes and not just the transactions.
