Market Intelligence Director – Global Management Consultancy

Greater London Permanent £90000.00 - £100000.00 per annum + 30% bonus

Market Intelligence Director

Global Management Consultancy

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: £100k plus 30% bonus

Join this global management consulting firm in a senior role as Market Intelligence Director. Based from their London HO paying £100k plus bonus.

In this brand new role, you will sit within their global marketing communications function as part of an ‘Insights Machine’, facing directly into the Chief Communications Officer; so this role is highly exposed and influential. You will report into and work collaboratively with the Global Director of Market Intelligence and Analytics, and amongst a number of other senior peers who focus on analysis, data science and measurement for global marcomms.

This role will own and drive measurement around the consultancy brand, reputation and marketing comms through market research and insights. You will need to be senior enough to influence and manage vendor relationships, as well as remain hands on to deep dive into data and derive insights which will inform important business questions and decisions around brand and comms for the consultancy. You will need to present these numbers and insights to a large number of senior stakeholders with confidence, pin-point accuracy and impact, in order to continue to drive shifts and changes which align to improved brand performance in the market.

It goes without saying the pace is ferocious, but the opportunity huge. To join one of the leading consultancies in the world in this capacity and be part of this internal growth journey, would be highly valuable to any research and insights specialist.

This is very much a leadership role, and will eventually have a team built beneath it; a sphere you can own and drive as you scale out the internal delivery of your project work in this space. So naturally you need to be a self-starter, one that can spot commercial opportunity for influential projects in market intelligence, on an ongoing basis. You will need to demonstrate the seniority to be able to come in and help scale an internal capability, as well as own the output initially yourself; so it’s likely you will have come from either brand or management consultancy side, as we require a certain level of intellectual processing power to operate in this kind of global, consultancy culture where priorities are consistently changing. The demands from the business change frequently, so the environment and work is very dynamic and constantly realigning. The team work very collaboratively, driving the roadmap together, working to a holistic measurement framework, always switched onto what the next need from the business might be (pre-emptive rather than reactionary approach).

Technically we will need you to have skills in polling, understanding the communications landscape, brand surveys, understanding how to set up a sample, build a questionnaire, work with vendors, project manage the whole thing. A basic understanding of analytics is also required, as you will work amongst a diverse team including data scientists who do the heavy lifting, but any experience with social listening tools, internet crawlers would be useful as you will be required to constantly interpret the data.

Fundamentally, the culture is also very supportive, team orientated, kind, fun, performance orientated and naturally, fast paced! Words from your manager who has been with the business for over 10 years!

So if you’re ready to take on the challenge, please get in touch!
