Job Title: Quality Assurance Data Analyst

Location: Exeter/home based

Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Purpose: To work with the Quality Assurance Reviewing and Safeguarding Service to provide dedicated support to QARSS in providing systematic, timely and accurate data collection and analysis to support quality assurance functions of the service. The collation of data and preparation of reports for managers and QARSS staff will provide a reporting mechanism that is consistent and effective and enables managers within QARSS to identify key patterns and trends in practice and respond to these accordingly. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Main duties and responsibilities:

* To ensure the Need to Know (NTK) reporting mechanism is effectively shared across the staff group and with SMT and subsequent NTK reports are received in a timely manner and systematically recorded on the NTK spreadsheet.

* To further develop the effectiveness of the NTK spreadsheet to meet the needs of SMT and QARSS Senior Manager.

* To respond to Senior Management Team requests and enquiries regarding ongoing or historical NTK cases.

* Provide QA manager and Senior Manager QARSS with a monthly NTK report and associated analysis of trends and patterns.

* To identify audit samples, create bespoke audit tools/forms and generate reporting against findings

* Support for report preparation; a. Monthly case audit reports to include PowerPoint info-grams b. Quarterly QA reports c. Annual Report data and information gathering

* To provide performance reports and analysis of data to QA manager, and QARSS Area Managers and Senior Manager QARSS on specific practice areas.

* Allocation and follow up with field staff of audit completion and support Area Manager and SM QARSS ensuring these are completed in a timely manner.

* To develop and maintain an audit spreadsheet to enable QARSS Senior Manager to have effective oversight of all audit activity and track lessons identified and dissemination of learning.

* To communicate effectively with locality staff to ensure QARSS have a centralised system reporting against all the audit activity across the localities. 2

* To assist QA Manager and QARSS Senior Manager in audit case selection for themed monthly auditing.

* Collation of audit results and assisting QA manager and QARSS Senior Manager in developing monthly reports for SMT and CSLT.

* Co-ordinate themed, case, and deep dive audits with visual presentation of outcomes using appropriate software. * Support Quality Assurance Area Managers x 2 to generate monthly reports to QARSS Senior Manager on performance areas within CIC reviews, child protection case conferences, adolescent safeguarding framework and LADO activity.

* Support QA Manager and QARSS Senior Manager in arranging training activity for QARSS and organise learning workshops.

* To support the work of the Improvement Lead in identifying and tracking thematic audit & dip sampling of casework

* To provide dedicated support in Monitoring Visit preparation and evidence collation.

* To allocate and track audit moderation arrangements within QARSS.

* Provide a link with MIT re auditing case selection to ensure all case types and social workers are audited without duplication within the last 12 months

* To contribute to the ongoing development of the QARSS dashboard.

* Allocate audits and moderations confirming auditor is not auditing work from their own team using up to date CSW Staff Information

* Development of audit actions tracker spreadsheets, maintenance and follow up including accessing Eclipse across all service wide audit activity.

* Develop and oversee the Escalations spreadsheet and report monthly to QARSS Senior Manager on key themes and patterns and timeliness of responses from locality staff.

* Supporting/attendance at QA review meeting – collating data and information from range of service sources.

* Preparation, co-ordination & support to Practice Week x 2 annually
