Role overview

My client, a well-known retail brand is looking for someone to join their HR team to look after all employee relation enquiries. You’ll be the first point of contact for Territory Managers and People Business Partners to provide advice and support on all employee relations issues. The ER Advisor helps to ensure a fair and consistent approach to the company’s policies and procedures, promoting a positive ER culture whilst minimizing risk.

Key responsibilities

  • To advise and support line managers in the handling of ER matters
  • To ensure effective case management in accordance with internal processes
  • To escalate to the ER Manager any concerns in relation to HR business risk or where advice has not been acted upon appropriately
  • To develop effective relationships within the Business Partners and wider People Team to ensure effective employee relations and people query responses across the organisation
  • To support the ER Manager and HR Managers in the delivery of specialist ER training to restaurant managers
  • In constant communication with People team / PBPs, Senior Operations, Restaurant Managers.

Your previous experience

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Up to date knowledge of UK Employment Law, Employment Tribunal processes
  • Experience of managing ER issues and advising, coaching, influencing managers up to and including senior managers.
  • Ability to assess potential problems and make sound judgements on issues that may have an adverse impact on the business.
  • HR best practice awareness and fantastic ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
