Salary: £60k plus 5% bonus

Location: 3 days in office / wfh

This is a brand-new role, integral to the growth of this globally recognised streaming platform, with data being a central driver for growth. With their new data lake in place, they’ve already started their 3-5 year journey of building out their internal data capability, which is where this role comes in!

There is already huge demand from the business for reporting and insights, so beyond this, your manager Director of Customer Analytics is excited about the prospects for doing more pro-active predictive work around the subscriber, so we need a self-starter who can identify commercial opportunities for the team and start to build out a roadmap of projects around customer insight. You will work amongst a small team with one other Analyst as well as some Data Engineers.

You’ll need to be a whizz with SQL (joining tables, pulling raw data from their data warehouse), clearing off the existing backlog, working initially with limited resource as they start their journey to a more sophisticated, data driven future. You’ll also ned to be confident in presenting actionable insights to key stakeholders, including the MD of Streaming. So the role gets a lot of exposure at senior grades and therefore, there is huge room for growth and development for this person moving forward.

As you can imagine the environment at a company like this is ever changing and fast paced, so you’ll need to be confident going into this kind of culture, where you’ll be expected to take ownership, be proactive and a self-starter in supporting the growth of analytics.

Experience required:

· Educated to degree level or higher in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or Computer Science).

· An advanced user of SQL

· Exposure to data visualisation tools and building out engaging dashboards using PowerBI, Qlik, Looker, Tableau or similar

· Experienced in mining large and complex customer data sets – both structured and unstructured

· Ideally experience of employing both simple and complex statistical and data science techniques (e.g. forecasting, regression, clustering etc) to solve business problems and answer business questions

· A background in customer or marketing analytics is essential, ideally around customer journeys
