Our client has one of the most established, mature and advanced analytics functions in the grocery retail industry. As one of the first major players to embrace and successfully roll out a loyalty card scheme, their heritage in data driven decision making makes for an amazing learning environment.

Working amongst a huge data community, and in turn a specialized analytics function, you have the opportunity to diversify, grow and develop both your technical and softer skills, leveraging their advanced training and development programmes. They offer individuals opportunity to grow in different directions and realise ambitions they might not have had the chance to do so before.

We have two Senior Analyst roles within the loyalty team (focused on delivering insights for FMCG supplier partners and loyalty for retail). Both are replacement roles for people who have moved on internally (one has switched to digital analytics AND gained a promotion at the same time! The other has gone into a niche product related role…a fairly major change he’s been working on with the business for a year or so).

We are looking for experienced Analysts, ideally with some mentoring experience, as you will have 1-2 direct reports, but this is not a pre-requisite for this role and you will given support in this area if needs be.

Reporting into the Analytics Manager – someone who joined as a junior and has grown himself through the ranks over the years), you will support the ongoing measurement of campaign activity for suppliers, providing insights and recommendations on improved targeting and engagement strategies with customers, as well as getting involved in ad hoc projects across the wider business where loyalty data and insights can be used to help solve broader business questions and challenges.

Example projects include building segmentations for suppliers, automating campaign evaluation, working with internal stakeholders in the insight consultancy division to collaborate on retail analytics projects, helping to frame ideas, all whilst nurturing your softer skills in working in a business facing capacity.

Retail

Focused on delivering innovative ad hoc analytical projects, using valuable insights and trends identified through loyalty data and other sources of data, to develop and improve the retail proposition. This role reports into the Senior Insight Director, who oversees a team of people – including the FMCG supplier side, where the other role sits, and digital. You will need to be fairly autonomous and independent in this role, working directly with some pretty senior stakeholders, feeding ideas in proactively and demonstrating creative thinking with your solutions focused approach.

This is a massive growth area for the business, with aggressive plans to expand and develop the proposition – so a great time to come in and really make your mark!
