This is a brand new role as part of growth for a very visible and influential team, which sits as part of the wider analytics community at this major travel retailer.

You’ll report to the Digital Analytics Manager, who leads a team of 6 compromising of insights and optimisation specialists, and this team of technical implementation experts (3). You also have peers in a Data Science team (25), Commercial & BI team (5)and Customer Insights team (5), who all work collaboratively together to provide valuable info to support customer engagement and understanding as well as marketing performance.

In this role, you will work across all three websites for Airlines, Holidays and their App, in a very fast-paced environment, where there is a huge opportunity to make a name for yourself. Therefore we’re looking for highly proactive types, those who are interested in putting their opinions forward, and spotting opportunities for improvement and change.

As a technical web analyst, you will be responsible for building, testing and publishing Google Analytics tags and third-party tags in GTM and Ensighten, ensuring that reporting and analysis are providing the right insights using reliably tracked data.

You will be testing the data Layer against the tracking requirements documentation and feeding back to the development team ensuring that all the issues are investigated and fixed.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the tracking requirements document.

Technically they use the Google Analytics stack, experience with the Adobe stack will be considered and training provided.

Experience required:

· Educated to degree level, ideally in a numerate subject: Mathematics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering etc.

· Strong experience with Tracking/Tagging platforms, preferably GTM (Google Tag Manager)

· Strong experience interpreting business questions into technical analytics requirements, communicated to development teams

· Strong experience in Web Analytics packages; Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics

· Experience in Google BigQuery or SQL desirable

· Experience in dashboard presenting platforms (e.g. Data Studio, Tableau)

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build productive relationships both internally and externally

· Highly commercial, numerate with a high level of analytical skills

· Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously, organising time and prioritising workload

· Ability to work and deal with ambiguity in a changing environment

· A strong sense of initiative, teamwork and flexibility

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build stakeholder relationships both internally and externally

· Highly commercial outlook with exceptional problem-solving skills

· Self-motivated, with the ability to deal with ambiguity, work independently and prioritise tasks

· Confident working in a very fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities

· A strong sense of initiative, teamwork and flexibility
