Display and Affiliates Manager (German) -Travel company – Manchester – c. £45K

The Company

My client is a household name in the travel industry. They are synonymous with family life. It’s an exciting time to join them as they have undergone some changes which has seen their marketing department relocate to Manchester. You would be joining a dynamic team and working across one of the sub brands within the group.

The Role

You will be Defining and implementing the Affiliate and Online Display strategies in order to increase traffic, flight bookings and revenue. With responsibility for both the DE market and ensuring growth of the brand in the USA, LATAM and Spain.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and manage the Affiliate Marketing Strategy in order to generate traffic and bookings through both Meta and Longtail affiliates. This is key as Affiliates is our biggest channel
• Define and manage the Online Display Strategy in order to generate traffic and bookings through both prospecting and retargeting
• Manage Affiliate network/Display agency relationships, and develop direct relationships with key affiliates, to ensure activity is optimised efficiently and effectively
• Collate/analyse relevant data from agencies and partners in order to optimise future activity. Work with agencies to optimise activity based on available data and an enhanced view of attribution
• Work with key internal stakeholders to communicate appropriate offers that match the business need to specific partner strengths and requirements
• Work with IT to lead and manage technical API integrations as needed with agencies and partners
• Take full ownership of the Affiliate and Online Display budget for the brand making adustments and approving activity in order to optimise effectively

Key competencies and experience:

• Fluent German speaker
• Demonstrable experience within Affiliate Marketing
• Expert understanding of the German Affiliate Landscape
• API/Technical knowledge within the Affiliate vertical
• Demonstrable experience of managing both prospecting and retargeting campaigns, gained either Client or Agency Side
• Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar analytics packages
• Ability to report and forecast large data sets
• Experience in the travel industry
• Experience of the US Affiliate Landscape
• Experience of working in an international ecommerce organisation
