The Role
As the Paid social evangelist within the organisation, you will work collaboratively with all Marketing teams and media agencies to promote excellence in your channel. You will be expected to proactively interact with 13 markets to help drive their strategy, promote
best practices and roll-out new opportunities. The role has one direct report.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Develop the paid social strategy for the brand globally, clearly communicating with local markets to ensure adoption
- Ensure planning, organisation, development and timely delivery of paid social projects
- Develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry vertical and objectives of each market
- Motivate the central paid social agency, prioritise their work, and make sure that they are constantly challenged in their approach
- Evaluate the tools and strike global deals with relevant suppliers
- Help markets select/evaluate paid social agencies
- Work with the Data team, our social agency and Facebook to improve the existing reporting framework
- Make sure markets are audited on a regular basis
- Drive a test and learn approach for the channel
- Work closely with Tech to automate more of the processes
Key competencies and experience:
- Degree qualified in maths, ecommerce, digital marketing
- Minimum five years’ experience in Digital marketing with significant experience in Paid Social
- Influencing skills – Being able to have a vision for the channel whilst welcoming a healthy debate
- Real people skills – professional, honest, approachable and empathetic
- Track record of improving performance through iterative testing , preferably in a mobile-first organisation
- Exceptional analytical skills – capable of drawing actionable insights and optimisation opportunities from paid social campaigns
- Proactive – you will have to identify challenges and opportunities and communicate with the right person
- Good communication skills – ability to clearly explain complicated concepts to non experts
