Working for an agency- new piece of work that the brief is landing for a banking brand. It is to help them with a piece of Corporate Thought Leadership & Content for next year for their Payment Solutions. The brief is to look at how they can start to position themselves as credible experts within the payment sector. It is targeting specifically at C-suite audiences in the corporate sector. They are looking for a not only a strategy but also a plan of activity for 2019 including themes, topics and content types.

The Role:

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, but in a largely autonomous role, the Content Editor will be responsible for:

• Defining the Content strategy for the brand – a big part of this role will be generating new initiatives for what content needs to be created, developing the tone of voice and brand guidelines, be that Interviews with Industry figures, Advertising copy, Email marketing content, Podcast etc.
• Actively research and create enticing content on new trends and developments within the global technology and financial services space.
• Lead the editorial and copywriting for the global internal newsletter.
• Optimise all content for marketing channels, ensuring copy is SEO friendly and will drive natural search rankings.

The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a successful track record creating content across multiple formats/marketing channels, preferably within the Technology or Financial Services space.

Specifically, they will be:

• An exceptional copywriter with a mix of agency and client side experience.
• A go-getter – they will be full of ideas and keen to get the ball rolling on new initiatives.
• Passionate about emerging and disruptive technology trends in the FS sector.
• Collaborative in their approach.
• Highly organised and able to prioritise competing deadlines effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
