This role is working for a dynamic cycling brand looking for a copywriter to join their team. Their unique offices are based in a central location. The brand is tailored more towards cycling enthusiasts, and is an independent, self-funded business. It has seen strong ecommerce growth over the past 18 months or so, so this is a key hire in the next phase of their growth.

The Role

This will be the second copywriter in the business and a brand-new role. Ideally, they would like this person act as a mentor, but also work alongside another copywriter. This person is great at long editorial and creating copy, but less strong on product copy.

They are launching a new website at the end of the Summer, so this role has heaps of opportunity to get involved and create great content for the brand in the next phase of their growth.

Responsibilities:

• Craft the right message through:
  • Brand and editorial storytelling content (blogs, Press, feature pieces, email newsletters etc.)
  • Product Copy (100 words to describe a product) and using copy to drive SEO and search to specific products – on and offsite.

• Define and enforce brand style guides and tone of voice guidelines.
  • This role will be the brand guardian for Copy.
  • Their tone of voice is quite understated – they like this, but it needs to be developed.
  • Educate others on the team on how to talk in the tone of voice

• Work alongside the Social Mediamanager to ensure he speaks to their customers in the correct tone of voice.
  • Social media does not feature in this role, but you will work alongside a Social community manager to ensure the right messaging etc.
