My client is looking for a Senior Copywriter with experience in the Financial services industry, to join the global marketing team in London, to support global initiatives and regional teams (UK, Australia, Singapore, Middle East) for one of their key brands.

  • Execute the content strategy, by creating persuasive, original marketing copy for all elements of the marketing mix
  • Work with marketing stakeholders to:
    • Write and optimise copy for the website, client portals, email, social media, digital and print campaigns
    • Develop scripts for video, webinars and how-to guides
    • Optimize copy for key user journeys, including onboarding, retention and reactivation of clients
    • Support the delivery of key projects, including regulatory changes
  • Ensure appropriate and consistent tone of voice, fully aligned with our brand value proposition at all times
  • Have an understanding of SEO best practice to ensure SEO value is realised through appropriate content
  • Proofread copy to check spelling, grammar and tone of voice
  • Amend, revise or redevelop emails, webpages or campaign collateral in response to feedback
  • Publish content as required, using website CMS and other systems
  • Support all territory managers’ requirements – including UK, Singapore, Australia and Middle East
  • Liaise with internal colleagues and external suppliers e.g. agencies, designers and printers as required
  • Manage all client copy touch-points in a structured manner by collaborating with stakeholders including
    • Digital Media
    • Customer Experience
    • Customer Value Management
    • Product
    • International Marketing Managers
    • Compliance
  • Measure content performance and optimise within each customer journey
  • Support the senior content manager in building a KPI driven roadmap to optimise content
  • Liaise with the appropriate internal teams to ensure any required support in content generation is specified, documented, prioritized and delivered within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure that the brand proposition is implemented across the website, product and platforms and any associated environments
  • Ensure decisions are made in a timely manner and that deadlines are met
  • Ensure content accuracy and that all content is compliant
  • Maintain an appropriate level of competence through ongoing training
  • Other ad-hoc activities as required

Regulatory Requirements

  • Maintain a high level of conduct, ethical standards and values
  • Adhere to and proactively enhance the firm’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations and codes of conduct in all jurisdictions in which the Firm conducts business and which have an impact on its business
  • Work to identify risks and enhance control across the business
  • Ensuring all project files are updated at all times on the network drive.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Experience in the Financial services industry, writing copy and creating content within a digitally led marketing organization is a must have requirement.
  • An understanding of the motivators of the target market – Must have the ability to address sophisticated traders.
  • Experience in spread-betting / CFD sector highly preferred
  • Excellent marketing communications copywriting skills (Native English level for spelling, grammar, tone)
  • Experience of delivering marketing communications including online and printed materials in the financial sector
  • Experience of delivering regulatory communications in the financial sector
  • Ability to translate a wide range and large volume of complex information into simple, accurate, clear, consistent and compelling messages for prospects, clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Extensive knowledge of on-page SEO optimisation techniques
  • Results driven/commercially orientated
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise effectively
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to develop effective long-term working relationships both within the department & across departments and at all levels within the organization

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
