Director of Media

My client is a global retailer operating in hundreds of counties around the world. They have been a huge success for nearly 30 years and keep improving daily. This is a fantastic organisation that is undergoing a transformation to improve and grow even further to become more successful.

I’m looking for a Media Director to join this business and help support its journey. This individual’s objective is to drive media excellence across all of the locations in this company and improve how effective it can be. There will be many fundamental elements to this role such as, planning and implementation, communications and guiding the supporting agencies.

Your profile:

• Be an experienced Senior-Level within Media-Management with strong understanding of media functions at a global scale
• You must have experience in FMCG, retail or something similar.
• It’s important to have previous experience in developing brands.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop the Global Media vision enabling more effectiveness in media which includes strategy in driving better communication connections, new and consistent approaches to measurement and tracking and cross channel attribution, new channel pipeline for innovation.
• Lead the monitoring and the steering of the media investments of the brands in all types of media – traditional and digital

• Manage partnerships and joint business plans with global media agency and vendors (e.g. Google, Facebook Instagram & Amazon) and identify global media savings, negotiating value adds.

• Lead competitive media intelligence and Identify, monitor, and report on global media trends and innovative media developments, for both offline and online media.

• Partners with procurement & Legal in commercial decision making to ensure commercial protection of the investment from contracting through to commercial disputes.
