Head of Content – HealthTech

£80K, London

The Opportunity:

I am representing a HealthTech start up who are seeking a strategic Head of Content to join their London team.

Their product utilises AI and machine learning to predict symptoms based on a patients age, gender and lifestyle, and then provides tailored advice on where and how to seek treatment; be that through commercial partnerships with pharmacists and doctors, linking up with charity partners, or self-care through their impressive library of relevant and interesting content.

Managing a team of four, this position is brand new and will lead on all content initiatives. This person will define a robust content strategy with the aim to drive distribution of content and reach with key audiences, having an impact on health care access across the global.

The Role

The Head of Content will be responsible for:

– Planning and delivering a rich multiplatform content strategy with a focus on driving reach and engagement with audiences on a global level

– Ensuring all content is optimised for SEO and drive SEO strategy

– Acting as guardian for the brand tone of voice, ensuring that content meets guidelines across all touch points.

– Defining ROI and metrics to ensure content is successful

– Working closely with medical professionals to ensure accuracy and quality of copy

– Managing and motivating a team of four, of varied seniority.

– Liaising closely with analytics teams to align insights on user experience, and use findings to shape further initiatives to enhance content on the product

The Candidate

I would be interested in speaking with candidates who:

– Have proven experience defining and delivering multiplatform content strategies for a b2c app focussed business – health experience would be beneficial given the business…

– Possess a target driven approach to content – you must be able to talk through success metrics and where you have delivered ROI

– Understand SEO – technical and top level. You won’t need to implement but you must be able to optimise content for search.

– Have a growth mindset – you want to push the boundaries and drive new ideas for a business.

– Are exceptional storytellers with out-of-this-world copywriting and editorial skills.

– Can manage and motivate a small team

– Enjoy working collaboratively with others but can also work autonomously.

– Can keep up with the pace of a start up scaling up headcount!

The Company

Originating from one too many unnecessary health scares from Dr. Google, the company’s ethos is to empower patients with relevant health information, using big data and machine learning to offer a tailored diagnosis as well as appropriate next steps. With a competitive base salary and stock options on offer in return for your hard work, this role would suit a senior Content Strategist with a passion for health and wellbeing, looking for a role where their work can make a visible impact.
