Head of Content Strategy

My client, an award-winning digital agency is seeing a Head of Content Strategy to join their team. By supporting their customers globally, they bring cutting edge technology and creativity together to deliver the best service for their clients

This role reports into the Head of Digital and will be looking after and managing a team of 3 content personnel. It is important that you have experience managing accounts on a global scale.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Regular catch up with Key content stakeholders in Europe
• Managing content strategy and planning team
• Overseeing & guide Explore, Members quarterly content strategy & editorial plan
• Write clear briefs for campaign & editorial content
• Ensure all planned content delivers on the agreed content strategy and overall project objectives
• Working closely with local Content Managers across 17 European locations, including communicating strategy and objectives, and acting as a point of escalation for issues
• Client relationship management, including acting as a central communication point for Europe and between UK agencies involved in the content planning process.

You must have the following:

• 5+ years’ experience working on delivering of a content strategy, editorial plan and delivery for a brand or agency clients
• Demonstrated ability to plan and create content that attracts, retains, and grows an audience
• A clear understanding of what makes effective and engaging content, and the ability to communicate this to the client and colleagues (including basic SEO principles and digital copywriting best practice)
• Understanding of the role of different digital channels as part of a communication strategy
• Highly organised and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadline
• Data analysis leading to actionable insight
• Adobe Experience Manager an advantage
