The Company:

I’ve partnered with a global business, to find a highly experienced and talented Head of Web Content. This opportunity would be to join an award-winning luxury organization that specialises in hospitality, culture, and tourism.

The service that they provide to their customers is impeccable and I’m looking for an expert who can display these experiences to their full potential.

The role:

This is a critical position within the marketing team to take the website to the next level. Your priority will be the guest experience and helping to drive the development roadmap to create an amazing website. You will work closely with all parts of the marketing team but also wider business to ensure a seamless internal process around content creation, new features and website development.

Data is key in this business and in this role in particular. It’s crucial that you have this mindset as you will also be focused on the impact of both web development changes and audience-based content. You will be measured on key KPIs around the site performance as well as producing reports on progress but also forecasting for future performance.

Responsibilities

  • You will own the website and its roadmap and have a clear vision for where it will be in the future – Managing the different global sites accordingly
  • Develop the customer journey for each of our products, apply data and insights to inform the development of a website experience that engages and converts.
  • Ensure that our tagging and tracking is up to date and analyse performance
  • Be able to brief, work with, test and feedback back to engineers and have proven experience in product development
  • Using data, produce reports in Google Analytics on website funnels and present what is happening on site but also what decisions should be made to enhance the site’s performance
  • Prioritise all the improvements which could take place on site with a clear roadmap of work for the next 3-6 months
  • Work on special projects as needed – examples being new product launches, SEO improvements or overhauling sections of the website as needed
  • You will be responsible – in conjunction with the SEO team – to ensure you understand the roadmap (both from a content and web development point of view) and move this forward at pace

Requirements

  • You will bring substantial relevant work experience either at an agency or in-house with you in the position
  • You will have relevant CMS experience, being extremely comfortable using a CMS – ideally Sitecore
  • You will have proven ability to build out a web roadmap and deliver on this
  • Content development experience ideally within an ecommerce or customer focused business
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple strategic objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be excellent with Web Analytics (GA)
  • Work cross-functionally to pull website metrics into combined dashboards
  • Knowledge of current SEO best practices
  • Impeccable organization skills
