The Opportunity
I am representing a disruptive tech brand, changing the way how senior executives connect with their peers, match with exciting careers opportunities and consume the latest market insights, all through an innovative membership platform.
The business is growing, and this year they are looking to double their headcount as their product gains traction. They are looking for a Senior Copywriter now to join their marketing team to take ownership of the planning and delivery of the brands content strategy as they look to drive awareness of their product internationally, and continue to grow their exclusive network.
The Role
The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for positioning the business as a thought leader in their space through content. You will spot opportunities and identify the latest trends to pull together a content strategy that is relevant and engaging for members.
The role is a balance between strategic thinking as well as being hands on – they need someone who will be just as comfortable reaching out externally to CEOs to arrange interviews as part of a blog strategy, as they would be shaping tag lines for email marketing campaigns. Additionally, you will develop the tone of voice to ensure it remains ‘on brand’ for the Executive market.
Specifically, the Senior Copywriter will:
– Own, create and deliver a content calendar that will drive engagement with members at each touchpoint.
– Write and repurpose copy for a multitude of channels (website, blogs, reports, social media, email marketing campaigns, articles etc.)
– Curate and edit all content before it “goes live”.
– Commission content to a network of freelancers.
– Use insights to shape further content planning.
The Candidate
I would be interested in speaking with Copywriters who can demonstrate:
– Exceptional copywriting skills (preferably within business / financial journalism) – you will have an impressive portfolio brimming with work examples.
– A strategic mindset – you must be able to spot the opportunities for stories and pull ideas for content from market trends
– Gravitas – this role will work with, influence and create content for the Senior Executive market. You must have confidence to communicate at this level.
– The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
