Senior Digital Marketing Executive – Content

Greater London Contract / 6 weeks FTC £30000.00 - £35000.00 per annum

My client, a fantastic B2B company renowned for their successful suite of loyalty products and travel-based solutions for a range of customers and clients worldwide are looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Executive to join their team on a 1 month FTC.

Working within a team reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the website including content management and managing related processes for the wider marketing team, increase traffic and engagement, and support the campaign plans of the sector and regional marketing teams

You’ll also be the key point of contact for BAU and support workstreams with their external website agency, drive key development and performance optimisation initiatives and make proactive recommendations to ensure it represents the breadth and depth of our expertise to drive brand awareness and lead generation. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on performance and proactively recommending and implementing initiatives to improve KPIs.

Key Objectives:

  • Content manage the global website aligned to marketing objectives, themes and messaging, sector campaign initiatives and brand guidelines
  • Develop & facilitate the development of website content and the approach for streamlining this, working in conjunction with the wider marketing team
  • Analyse and drive insights for improving the performance of their website against KPIs of audience engagement and lead generation
  • Support the ongoing development of the website to deliver greater personalisation and an improved user experience

Role Responsibilities:

  • Content manage the global website to improve performance metrics (e.g. traffic, engagement & conversions – inbound enquiries, report downloads etc.)
  • Work closely with the proposition and sector marketing teams on the editorial calendar to devise and manage the website content calendar and approach, to ensure new content is being developed on key themes and topics, and existing content is reviewed and enhanced to support wider marketing goals
  • Write or facilitate the development of content that is search engine optimised for the website (e.g. articles, case studies, reports, blog posts, conference involvement etc .) in line with the content calendar, and work with the rest of the digital marketing team to integrate channels where relevant (social media, paid media etc)
  • Support marketing campaign activity with the development of website landing pages, campaign specific initiatives and digital assets/content as appropriate, and work proactively with internal teams or other 3rd party agencies in the briefing, development and creation of those.
  • Lead the day-to-day relationship with the external website agency on BAU and support workstreams, including change requests, scheduling and budget management of those. Support the SMM in planning for new development initiatives where relevant, including new templates, personalisation, regional websites etc.
  • Proactively interrogate data and insight from website performance to make recommendations for future performance optimisation initiatives and marketing activity.
  • Support and work with other team members on their initiatives and projects as required

  • Good organisational skills

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Proactive, assertive and ability to use initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail to deliver work of a high quality standard
  • Appreciation of managing stakeholder expectations
  • Intermediate level IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, with Photoshop, video or other digital tools an advantage
  • Prior experience using website CMS (Sitecore an advantage) and Google Analytics mandatory with Salesforce.com experience an advantage
