Social media executive – 12-month fixed term contract

A world-renowned global law firm are seeking a Social Media Executive for a 12-month fixed term contract.

Working closely with the Digital Manager, this role requires a talented candidate who understands that the tone of voice guidelines for a role such as this must be adhered to with exceptional precision due to the brand and reputation. Essentially, this is not just a content creation role but a Brand Ambassador position, too.

Key activities will include content creation and monitoring and analysis whilst providing specialist guidance and advice to other members of the team.

The Responsibilities:

• Lead on all social media, crafting dynamic and engaging visual content that achieves essential cut through above the noise, relevant to the firm’s activity and which capitalises on the news agenda
• Manage the global social media calendar, scheduling content from around the network
• Support the implementation of new social media channels, tools and platforms
• Work with the creative services team to source and create suitable images for our social media
• Monitor social media channels for comments that might cause the firm reputational damage and, after consultation with peers, takes appropriate action
• Monitor and develops reports on competitor activity within social media spaces
• Work with the digital team on the publication of content on the website
• Identify opportunities to re-purpose and re-tweet content
• Work collaboratively with the wider marketing and communications team to advise on and support the delivery of campaigns

The Candidate:

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex material into easy to read promotional copy.
• Minimum of two year’s experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house environment; a degree-level qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience managing several social media outlets as an integrated marketing tool; proof of activity or a portfolio is extremely beneficial.
