Social Media Manager – Travel – Up to £42k

My client, a sport-travel company is currently looking to recruit a passionate and dynamic Social Media Manager in what will be an exciting and varied role, offering great autonomy to help grow their global social media presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving the overall social media strategy across the UK, USA and Scandinavian businesses.
• Working closely with the Head of Commercial Marketing and Marketing Manager to maximise opportunities and drive interaction.
• Management and implementation of paid social media strategy.
• Responsible for the management and growth of all social platforms.
• It may also include some overseas travel opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and analysing Social Media performance, suggesting and implementing best practices for improvements with the wider management team
• Driving traffic from social media to the website to help increase sales
• Ensuring user journey from social media to website is seamless, and optimised for conversion into enquiries
• Liaising with the wider marketing team regarding the required content for social posting
• Working closely with partners to implement social media campaigns which are both funded and organic
• Producing weekly reports on social growth and engagement and any campaigns or giveaways that have been completed
• Answering comments and messages on social media to improve engagement and customer service – liaising with the wider team where applicable
• Ensuring all copy is correct with emphasis on attention to detail
• Monitoring competitors and implementing industry best-practices
• Optimising video/post descriptions/SEO for all channels
• Video filming and editing experience – desirable though not essential
