Junior Email Developer

Salt’s client, a globally established content publishing agency is looking for a talented Junior Email Developer to join their team on an initial 2 month contract at their South London based office. Reporting directly to the Email Delivery & Database Manager, you will support a team in building and sending email campaigns, ensuring that strict deployment deadlines are met. You will work cross-collaboratively with the editorial, commercial and marketing teams of various client brands, managing their end-to-end email development process.

Role responsibilities:

• Use market ESP software to create and deliver email campaigns
• Using HTML/CSS coding to develop or amend a suite of email templates for marketing campaigns
• Responsible for proofing and testing each email campaign while following a thorough sign off process
• Troubleshoot any possible HTML email rendering issues or deliverability issues
• Reporting on campaigns, analysing the performance and identifying areas for potential optimisation and growth
• Run A/B tests, proposing testing treatments, split testing campaigns and reporting back to the team on the results
• Work collaboratively with the email marketing team for any ad-hoc database cleansing and re-engagement tasks

Skills required:

• Strong HTML and CSS coding skills and confident user of Dreamweaver
• Knowledge of ESP Platforms (e.g.: e-shot, Adestra, Dotmailer, or similar)
• Experience in building/designing mobile responsive HTML email templates is essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in working tight deadlines with short turnaround periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
