Market Manager – Nordics/English Speaking

Greater London Contract / 10 Months

Salt is proud to collaborate with this world-renowned hospitality giant as they search for a talented Market Manager – fluent in the Danish, Norwegian or Swedish language to join their team on an immediate starting, 10 month contract role focused on the Nordic Market. In this position, you will be responsible for the customer support in your assigned territories, managing professional host accounts and supply acquisition of high quality inventory.

During the contract, you will build a strong market presence in your assigned region in collaboration with other teams as the local in-market expert and with a key focus on the clients mission and values, you will drive all phases of supply acquisition and market success, including acquisition strategy development, generating and converting supply leads, and strategic partners relationship management. You will help develop and iterate scalable localised supply management strategies for both developed and highly competed market destinations as well as relatively untapped new markets with the intention of ultimately ensuring long-term market success.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage partner relationships within an assigned territory
  • Directly manage accounts to meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales goals
  • Create and deploy scaled strategies to effectively manage & optimise your region
  • Support community programs in your assigned region
  • Effectively analyse data and utilise data-driven recommendations to identify and action on strategic opportunities to drive increase in sales
  • Represent the client in external meetings and at industry conferences within your market
  • Educate clients on all significant product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Hold regular optimisation calls and business reviews with your partners, developing strong and long lasting partnerships
  • Develop deep knowledge of your assigned geographic markets and act as the go-to source for all information relating to local trends and market dynamics for internal and external partners
  • Respond to and deliver exceptional service to professional partners in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy and customer support teams to ensure long-term market success.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience in new sales, account management and partner support – hospitality/travel industry experience advantageous
  • Fluency in a Nordic Language – Danish, Swedish or Norwegian.
  • Highly proficient in using CRM software – specifically in working with leads, opportunities and other core objects – Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Proven track record of being able to effectively work a leads pipeline and/or a book of business
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Strong quantitative skills and proven ability to interpret and apply data throughout day-to-day work
  • Proven ability to get tasks completed with constantly changing priorities, projects and deadlines
  • Open and available to travel to assigned markets (when business travel resumes)
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally
  • Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, with a proven track record to execute in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
