The Company

My client is an independent agency based in a trendy part of town. They are a friendly yet dynamic team and they are looking to add an SEO Account Manager who will work alongside the Head of SEO and wider SEO team on various accounts. The agency have going for about 20 years and are well established. They are focused on building a loyal team, hence culture fit is important. The Role

On average, you will be handling 15 accounts across various sectors at any given time, as well as supporting existing sites with additions and changes. As a big part of the role is related to creating and nurturing relationships with clients, you will need to be a confident individual with the ability to interact well with others on both a personal and professional level and to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Working closely with clients to ensure a full understanding of their business, digital marketing needs and priorities.
• Creating trusting relationships with clients by ensuring the client has visibility on our work and the related results/benefits as well as actively engaging
• Client website and competitor website analysis including analysis of backlink profiles and strategies
• Conducting keyword research and technical analysis on websites including SEO auditing
• Writing SEO proposals and SEO reports
• Investigating and working with the latest SEO software
• On-site and off-site optimisation
• Delivering ROI and suggesting improvements to our SEO department
• Liaising with potential and current clients by phone, email and some face-to-face meetings

Key competencies and experience:

• 3 years + 1 year experience in a client-facing, full time SEO position within an agency

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to empathise with the stress and pain points of clients’ day-to-day jobs
• A technical SEO background with good understanding of HTML, website code and page structuring for best SEO results
• In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Full understanding of the canonical tags, Rich Snippets, XML Sitemaps, htaccess files etc
• Knowledge of SEO tools such as Moz Pro, CognitiveSeo, SEO Profiler, Majestic, Ahrefs etc
• Knowledge of SEO plugins on WordPress/Magento and other CMS systems
• A desire to continue expanding their SEO knowledge, demonstrated by keeping up to date with industry news, such as Search Engine algorithm changes
