Role: Buyer- Goods Not for Resale

Location: Central London

Day Rate: Up to £500 via LTD

Contract length: 3- 6 months

Working closely with Procurement colleagues and stakeholders, you will deliver sustainable benefits (cost savings, improved specifications, reduced risk of supply, etc.) to the Group companies from the considered purchasing and supply management of Creative Services in the Marketing department.

Key Objectives:

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Develop great working relationships with stakeholders in all Operating Companies.
• Work in a collaborative and transparent manner

Analysis and Insights:

• Analyse expenditure, budgets, forecasts, business plans, costs, prices, supplier performance, supply market dynamics, business requirements, proposals for supply, suppliers’ motivations, etc.
• Generate insights from analysis and share with stakeholders
• Ensure decisions are based on facts and data, always
• Produce presentations and reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis as required by stakeholders

Strategic Sourcing:

• Deliver benefits in terms of cost savings, operational performance improvement and mitigation of risk
• Understand, challenge and help to shape internal business requirements
• Deploy strategic purchasing processes, tools and techniques
• Use project management disciplines to ensure clarity of scope, measurable objectives, clear roles and responsibilities and achievable time plans
• With the team, identify, evaluate, negotiate and help select suppliers who best meet business requirements
• Carry out supplier evaluation activities
• Engage with Legal to ensure fit-for-purpose contracts are in place

Supplier Management:

• Establish relationships with current and potential suppliers
• Help to manage and drive their performance
• Ensure suppliers know what is expected of them and how their performance will be assessed

Skills/Experience required:

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant purchasing experience, to include Creative
• International experience a bonus
• Previous employment in a blue-chip environment ideal
• Proven ability to identify and deliver benefits through the application of professional purchasing
• Experience of negotiating and working with suppliers
• Successful track record of making change happen

Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree or qualification in purchasing / business management ideal
• Highly motivated, self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Solid business acumen and strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Empathetic with people – listens and takes on board requirements
• Comfortable to challenge existing ways of working in a positive way
• Makes change happen and has the influencing skills to do this
• Tenacious in achieving results, keeps going when presented with set-backs
• Curious – a desire to investigate and question
• Open and transparent in working style
• Fluent English essential
• French language skills ideal
• Additional languages an advantage
