Country Manager (Germany)
I am excited to be working with a global eCommerce and marketplace growth expert, who are looking to dramatically expand their European operation. To that end, I am searching for an ambitious, entrepreneurial and resilient Ecommerce expert, who will be responsible for serving the incredibly exciting German market.
Supporting the brands overall mission of becoming the premier eCommerce partner for consumer brands globally, the Country Manager will act as the first person on the ground, and will be instrumental in driving the awareness and growth of this established business, in a new market. Despite working independently for the most part, the Country Manager will work in close collaboration with senior stakeholders within the global business, building and execution a strategic partner roadmap, which has brand engagement and promotion at heart.
Utilising an already well-established network of contacts, the Country Manager will be able to demonstrate experience within business development, sales and negotiation and will ultimately look to strengthen their network on an ongoing basis. Being a business which works extensively with marketplaces, previous experience and an understanding of Amazon, Ebay, Alibaba, etc. will be looked upon favourably, as will experience within FMCG and/or retail.
This opportunity is both hands on and strategic, and will ultimately develop and lead a future team in Germany. Reporting to the General Manager of the UK and regional Europe, the Country Manager will also work closely with the Global CEO to set up and build our this key growth market.
It is imperative that candidates possess a genuine passion for all things digital and eCommerce, as well as new business models and innovation . Listening skills, honesty and integrity are key characteristics to succeed in this role. In order to be considered, candidates must possess the following skills & qualifications:
· 8+ years’ experience in a client facing sales/commercial role with consumer brands
· Experience of working in eCommerce/digital & selling a digital service or product
· Sales line responsibilities & team building/development experience
· Strong Microsoft Office skills with PowerPoint & Excel
· Degree educated
· Fluent in English & German
