Ecommerce Manager

Greater London Permanent £40000 - £50000 per annum

My client, a leading sports nutrition company, is going through an exciting period of growth, and with that, are on the hunt for a new Ecommerce Manager to join their global team in London. Responsible for the overall management of brand websites, as well as being the lead contact to a team of developers, this role would suit an experienced and passionate Magento professional, who possesses a keen interest in the health, nutrition and/or sporting industries.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management & development of brand websites
  • Managing the development agency, communicating improvements to all relevant teams
  • Plan & implement UX/feature improvements through effective feedback & testing strategies
  • Configure & maintain Magento admin settings, manage users and security best practices across this admin
  • Manage QA & testing of new features and/or bug fixes on the front & back end of Magento
  • Own as much Magento configuration and set up as reasonable, to ensure that development hours are spent elsewhere, other than basic module configuration/set up. This will include the training of new users and production of user guides
  • Monitor & support everyday ecommerce transactions, website speed and performance
  • Work closely with SEO team to ensure that all technical recommendations are actioned and ensure that SEO best practices are adhered to by all in-market business units
  • Responsible for one direct report
  • Responsible for ongoing market and competitor analysis, always keeping an eye on industry trends

Experienced Required

  • Must be an experienced Magento manager with a strong understanding of the CMS, preferably Magento 2 – experience with payment gateway is an advantage
  • Experience of other ecommerce platforms, such as Salesforce
  • Experience in a similar ecommerce role, in a technical or UX focused environment
  • Experience in re-platforming an ecommerce website is preferred, as well as experience in launching ecommerce stores
  • Up to date on social media, digital marketing practices & trends
  • Understanding of SEO, search console and Google merchant store
  • Working knowledge and experience of all ecommerce functions, technology and sophisticated analytics
  • Strong technical knowledge is important – an understanding of coding is desired, but not essential
  • Deep understanding of customer needs & a desire to ensure the best possible experience for every single customer
  • Experience in managing and coaching people
