E-Commerce Technical Assistant – Retail – Up to £34,000

Uxbridge/ Hybrid working

Salt’s client, a global retail company that has considerably grown over the last couple of years, is on the hunt for an ambitious eCommerce Technical Assistant to join their team. In this role you will be managing front end and content improvements across the international websites, as part of the Ecommerce and Consumer Experience team. You will be working with the Lead Front End Developer to implement conversion-driving solutions, including user-generated content across their international retail and wholesale channels. This position is a perfect fit for a budding Ecommerce whizz with a creative and curious mindset!

The role:

· Optimise eCommerce technical content support, set up, and implementation, including website updates, setting up new products, and technical content updates.

· Assist with the daily merchandising of the website in order to improve SEO, engagement, bounce rate and ultimately conversion

· Managing all international websites and help optimise digital content.

· Work collaboratively with translation software and agencies to co-ordinate localised content.

· Deliver daily administration tasks which will include re-writing product information, cleansing historical data and ensuring all online information is accurate and correct

· Assist with adhoc administration duties

· Work cross-functionally with project managers, product managers, and the UX team to drive improvements on the website

· Conduct competitor research to drive opportunities and highlight any possible threats.

Key Skills Required:

· Ideally, hold at least 2 years of E-commerce experience.

· Basic knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, XML and web editing software e.g. Dreamweaver.

· Design experience and working knowledge of Adobe design software including Photoshop, Illustrator.

· Awareness of CMS platforms

· Highly organised with an ability to multitask!

· Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and/or Amplience is desirable but not essential

· Understanding of A/B testing desired

· Fun to work with and possess a willingness to learn
