Head of Digital – Travel

Home based with occasional travel to London

Up to £83k + car allowance + bonus + perks

Salt have exclusively partnered with a well-known name within the Travel industry to help them in their search for a Head of Digital. In this role you will report to the Sales and Marketing Director and have two direct reports.

You will be responsible for driving the digital transformation of the brand, through strong leadership and influencing skills. You will help to build and implement a web optimisation roadmap, optimise SEO and content management and have experience in delivering a digital media channel strategy.

Key requirements:

· Alongside the eCommerce Manager oversee the eCommerce Strategy with the mindset to create sustainable growth.

· Oversee all digital marketing activities.

· Continuously review the online customer journey, through measuring data and customer insights.

· Report weekly, monthly, and annually on the trading performance in line with the forecast set.

· Work alongside the external web developer and relevant internal teams to develop and execute the new branded website.

· Manage third-party agency support to help execute a best-in-class digital experience for the brand.

· Management of a small team.

Skills and experience:

· Experience of leading the development of a cross channel digital strategy, with experience in managing the delivery of a transformation.

· Strong trading experience and competence in merchandising and leveraging content.

· Candidate must come from a large consumer-facing organisation, desirable would be within the travel industry.

· Strong leadership skills.

· Creative, demonstrating outside thinking, not afraid to change what we do and how we do it, push the boundaries.

· Team management skills.

· Self-driven, with proven ability to drive and deliver strategic projects and desire to learn from industry best practice and innovation.
