£70K – £85K base plus bonus

I am working with an award-winning niche PR agency that is seeking an Account Director for their Arts and Culture division. This agency has a strong presence across 5 core markets UK, US, EU, EMEA, and APAC with the EMEA being its biggest market. This is a critical hire and will sit as 1 of 3 associate directors in the business with a view to developing into a partner.

The successful candidate will be mentoring and supporting the development and imparting knowledge to junior colleagues. Critical elements of the role include day-to-day client management, strategic planning and advice to clients, and working with the team on project implementation, content development, and delivering results. Also supporting the business in brand proposition and areas for development, as well as driving new business to the firm.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and review key client deliverables (i.e. messaging, branding, executive coaching, communications/marketing plans, strategy documents)
• Assume creative and strategic direction and oversight on all account assignments.
• Develop strategic communication programmes.
• Equipped with crisis communications and reputational communications.
• Contact the client regularly to ensure the client is satisfied with account activity.
• Develop client’s crisis comms guides and support company directors with crisis.
• Media training for clients -preparation for interviews and discussion of interview strategy.
• Work with clients to assess issues, develop recommendations, and implement business improvement processes.
• Work with clients to identify potential alliances and partnerships.

Key requirements:

• University degree or college diploma in communications or related field
• 5+ years public relations experience ideally within an agency.
• Specialised industry knowledge or experience in Visual arts and culture.
• Solid presentation skills, including the ability to communicate and sell ideas to new prospects.
• Demonstrable evidence in leadership skills and sales ability.
• Possess an established network of senior industry and media contacts.
• Strong project management and strategy implementation experience.
• Well versed in crisis or reputational communications.
