The role of the Project Manager (Brand and Engagement) is to ensure the successful management and delivery of a major initiative relating to our brand identity.


* Work closely with the Group External Communication Director and Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a sizeable Brand Identity-related project

* Collation of scope of work from across the business and operating companies, obtain sign-off

* Define the project roadmap and detailed project plan, monitor and manage performance against agreed milestones, enabling a successful delivery to timescales, budget, scope and quality

* Proactive management of risks, issues, actions and dependencies, the latter to ensure full alignment and integration of delivery

* Supplier management – including weekly routine to ensure alignment

* Build and manage project timeplan, reporting on risk and issues

* Coordinate and track project budget, managing day to day operations needs

* Coordinate all project elements, securing delivery on time and on budget

* Coordination and content asset management, working in collaboration with external agencies as needed

* Provide regular reports and updates, timely escalation of complex queries and deviations from plan to accountable stakeholders, the Group Creative Director, and Programme Manager

* Build and upkeep presentations and relevant project documentations

* Proactively communicate project status to and problem-solve with the Group Creative Director and Programme Manager

* Establish strong working relationships to ensure effective collaboration and communication – be an ambassador for the team

Sphere of Influence: The role requires a collaborative approach to ensure overall support to the delivery of the initiative. The role encompasses influence across several teams across all the organisation, in central functions and operating companies.

Job Dimensions: Budget management responsibility. Liaising with stakeholder across all Operating Companies and including global functions.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience of brand and/or marketing are highly desirable.
  • Experience of retail is preferable.
  • Solid project management experience in mid to large organisations.
  • Formal project management qualifications, and ability to use project management frameworks and tools.
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex programmes successfully, preferably with international reach.
  • Demonstrable experience in operating within a complex organisational matrix and dealing with ambiguity and an increasingly agile business environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent people skills – positive, collaborative, pragmatic.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, through written and oral communications, within a multi-cultural environment.
  • The role will primarily operate from the Group Head Office in London, but travel to the individual operating companies across the UK and Europe may also be required.
