Salt is partnered with an exciting up and coming publishing brand who have recently have a successful round of funding by leading global investors. Their mission is to revolutionise education and the way kids fall in love with learning after their founder had an eye-opening experience whilst helping her own child study. Bringing learning to life via animated word games, well-illustrated data-driven books and soon to be interactive games via apps – they’re enabling kids to re-imagine the dictionary to help improve their vocabulary and writing skills.

The Role:

This is an amazing opportunity to join a start-up in growth and put your stamp on their social media. This role will be managing the social media strategy as this is the most important marketing tool for the company. This will put together the organic social media strategy, working with the wider team to ensure the right people are targeted, and ultimately ensure key objectives are hit. This role will line manage a social media executive, a great opportunity to move into an ambitious company with long term goals.

Your responsibilities

  • Create social media campaigns and strategies, content and implementation schedules in line with our brand strategy and the writing and design team
  • Work with our world class artists to create innovative and fun campaigns, the type that most education companies wouldn’t dare post
  • Grow our existing social channels using a blend of creativity, platform best practice and a deep understanding of our users’ needs
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels
  • Be responsible for our email marketing planning and implementation, ensuring our products and app are segmented and showcased in the right way to our growing customer base
  • Work closely with our in-house designers to create compelling, attractive and audience-relevant campaigns
  • Define realistic metrics to benchmark our growth and regularly report progress across the business

You must have:

  • 1-2+ years marketing experience within Tech or start up business
  • Experience in or understanding of children’s entertainment, books and games
  • B2C experience
  • Proven experience of copywriting across all major online and offline channels
  • Experience of working in a high growth fast pace start up environment.
  • Prior email marketing or CRM experience with a desire to develop them further.
